Local Travel

A SENSE OF PLACE is part of any travel experience. You go to new places to learn and understand them better. What is special? What is its essence? What makes Paris, Paris? Or San Francisco, San Francisco? Being in a new place can also illuminate qualities about yourself and the place you came from that perhaps you did not realize before.

In the spirit of creating a sense of place, I will be visiting our local greenbelt trail every week during 2017. The Boise River greenbelt is a local treasure, and our city just wouldn’t be the same without it. We will try different sections, at different times of year. Mostly we will be walking. Baby will always be with me. We’re in search of a sense of place and all which that brings. We’re also in search of the perfect greenbelt walking loop.
